On August 22, 2026 Japan got OP-17 - The World's Strongest Warriors (世界最強の戦士), the booster set marking the fourth anniversary of the One Piece Card Game. The international English version followed six days later, on August 28.
That short gap between versions is the first thing to understand before deciding how much to order and of which. It is not the usual Japanese-import situation, where the advantage is measured in months. Here the decision runs along a different line: which version suits your customers, and which format leaves you a better margin per box.
What OP-17 contains
- Anniversary: fourth of the One Piece Card Game.
- Title: The World's Strongest Warriors, 世界最強の戦士 in Japanese.
- Japanese release: August 22, 2026.
- International (English) release: August 28, 2026, with pre-release events from August 21.
- Size: 131 card types plus 4 special types, per official game information.
- Japanese sealed format: packs of 6 cards, boxes of 24 packs, 144 cards per box.
The set is themed around the Four Emperors and brings the Elbaf arc into the card game for the first time: Loki debuts alongside Whitebeard, Big Mom and a new Monkey D. Luffy Leader.
Why an anniversary set behaves differently
One Piece anniversary sets follow a pattern. They concentrate the cards the competitive player needs and, at the same time, the artwork the collector chases. Demand does not fade two weeks after launch the way it does with a filler set.
For a store that translates into two concrete things. Sealed boxes hold their place on the shelf instead of turning into dead stock. And single packs keep moving for longer, because the players want the Leaders and the collectors want the parallels.

Japanese or English: what actually changes
With only six days between editions, the timing argument disappears. What remains is structural:
The format. The Japanese box is 24 packs of 6 cards. The Japanese recommended price is 240 yen per pack, and the cost of entry per box differs from the international product allocated through the European channel.
The audience. Competitive players buy the language they play in at your store; One Piece collectors, on the other hand, tend to prefer the Japanese printing, exactly as happens in Pokémon. A store with organised play and a collector display case needs both.
Availability. The official channel allocates the English version. Japanese product depends on somebody importing it, and that is where a direct importer comes in.
Where it fits in the assortment
Three decisions you can make now:
- Sealed boxes for collectors and for opening at events. Anniversary sets are the ones that perform best at box-opening events, which bring people into the store.
- Single packs at the counter and in vending machines. A 6-card pack at a contained price is an impulse product that rotates, and One Piece pulls an adult audience that sits well next to Pokémon.
- An add-on to the Japanese order. One Piece shares supplier and shipping with Japanese Pokémon product, so adding it to the same order spreads the logistics cost instead of doubling it — the same logic covered in Japanese Pokémon booster boxes at wholesale.

How to order it wholesale
We distribute Japanese One Piece Card Game alongside Pokémon TCG and Dragon Ball to stores and vending operators across the EU, importing directly from Asia and holding stock in our warehouse in Spain. Invoicing is intra-community, without VAT, for any business with a valid EU VAT number.
Every batch goes through our own authenticity verification before it leaves the warehouse, and we supply businesses only: we never sell to the end consumer, so we never compete with your store.
Request your B2B account and we will send current OP-17 availability along with the rest of the Japanese catalogue and your store's terms.
